Madam Vice President. Madam Prime Minister. Madam Justice.
Madam President.
Madam CEO.
Madam is a title we reserve for powerful women. Women who have authority, women who command respect, women who get things done.
We need more madams in the world. We need more women in charge, making more of the decisions, and taking more ownership. We need more women with more power.
Money is power, that much is definitely true, which means we need more women earning the salaries and paychecks we deserve, having the knowledge to put that money to work for us, and to build unapologetic wealth. We need more women to be rich and powerful.
But how you define that power can be personal. Yes, we want more women running companies, institutions, and governments. But we also want more women to have the freedom to leave toxic relationships, quit terrible jobs, make investments in ourselves and our futures, and to live the lives that we want to live.
And not have to apologize for any of it.
The Madam Millionaire exists to help normalize women taking ownership over our money so we can take ownership over our lives, our communities, and our collective future. Good things happen when women have money, and I’m here to do my part to help ensure more women have more of it.
I’ll share my own experiences and the knowledge I’ve gained over the last 10+ years as I went from being a college graduate with $25k in debt to a millionaire in my early 30s. Most of the advice and knowledge I’ve learned about money came from men and was directed towards men, and I don’t want that to be the case for our younger generations of women who have more financial confidence than ever.
The queen herself, Gloria Steinem, summed it up better than I ever could:
“We’ll never solve the feminization of power until we solve the masculinity of wealth.”
And that, folks, is why we’re here. To talk about our money; how we’re going to get paid, build our wealth, and put our money to work for the things that we value. So that this world can get used to seeing more madam millionaires.
